What is the difference between Verbiage and Diction?

Verbiage as a noun is overabundance of words while Diction as a noun is the effectiveness and degree of clarity of word choice, and presentation of said words.

Diction

Part of speech: noun

Definition: The effectiveness and degree of clarity of word choice, and presentation of said words.

Example sentence: I had to do a lot of preparation for 'Kaaka Muttai.' I had to literally spend every night and morning in the slums, observing the life of people there, and work on my diction.
