Observant of tradition; attached to old customs; old-fashioned. In lieu of the name of the composer of a piece of music, whose real name is lost in the mists of time.
Example sentence: Graphic novels are not traditional literature, but that does not mean they are second-rate. Images are a way of writing. When you have the talent to be able to write and to draw, it seems a shame to choose one. I think it's better to do both.
Conventional

Definition: Pertaining to a convention, as in following generally accepted principles, methods and behaviour.ordinary, commonplace
Example sentence: Hurricane Katrina overwhelmed levees and exploded the conventional wisdom about a shared American prosperity, exposing a group of people so poor they didn't have $50 for a bus ticket out of town. If we want to learn something from this disaster, the lesson ought to be: America's poor deserve better than this.
