What is the difference between Separate and Discriminate?

Separate as a verb is to divide (a thing) into separate parts. while Discriminate as a verb is to make distinctions.

Separate

Example sentence: I attack ideas. I don't attack people. And some very good people have some very bad ideas. And if you can't separate the two, you gotta get another day job. You don't want to be a judge. At least not a judge on a multi-member panel.

Discriminate

Definition: To make distinctions.To make decisions based on prejudice.

Example sentence: Children don't mind when something was made - they don't discriminate in that way. I tape very early episodes of 'Rainbow' and 'Trumpton' for my son and watch them with him. He loves them. 'Trumpton' was made in 1967, but he still watches it like it's brand new.
