Definition: A strong will, determination. The state of being resolute. A statement of intent, a vow The act of discerning detail. The degree of fineness with which an image can be recorded or produced, often expressed as the number of pixels per unit of length (typically an inch). The number of pixels in an image being stored or displayed. A formal statement adopted by an assembly. The separation of the constituent parts (of a spectrum etc). The degree of fineness of such a separation. Progression from dissonance to consonance; a chord to which such progression is made. The moment in which the conflict ends and the outcome of the action is clear.
Example sentence: The courts of this country should not be the places where resolution of disputes begins. They should be the places where the disputes end after alternative methods of resolving disputes have been considered and tried.
