What is the difference between Construct and Concept?

Construct as a noun is something constructed from parts. while Concept as a noun is something understood, and retained in the mind, from experience, reasoning and/or imagination; a generalization (generic, basic form), or abstraction (mental impression), of a particular set of instances or occurrences (specific, though different, recorded manifestations of the concept).

Construct

Definition: Something constructed from parts. A concept or model.

Part of speech: verb

Definition: To build or form (something) by assembling parts. Similarly, to build (a sentence or an argument) by arranging words or ideas. To draw (a geometric figure) by following precise specifications and using geometric tools and techniques.

Example sentence: Nonfiction requires enormous discipline. You construct the terms of your story, and then you stick to them.

Concept

Part of speech: noun

Definition: Something understood, and retained in the mind, from experience, reasoning and/or imagination; a generalization (generic, basic form), or abstraction (mental impression), of a particular set of instances or occurrences (specific, though different, recorded manifestations of the concept).In generic programming, a description of supported operations on a type, including their syntax and semantics.

Example sentence: The concept of romantic love affords a means of emotional manipulation which the male is free to exploit, since love is the only circumstance in which the female is (ideologically) pardoned for sexual activity.
