What is the difference between Ductile and Malleable?

Ductile as an adjective is capable of being pulled or stretched into thin wire by mechanical force without breaking. while Malleable as an adjective is able to be hammered into thin sheets; capable of being extended or shaped by beating with a hammer, or by the pressure of rollers.

Malleable

Example sentence: Superman is pretty much the way he was - you know - what he's always been. A lot of the Marvel characters are products of their time. I think Batman, as a character, has been able to adapt; he's pretty malleable.
