Dependency

A dependence on a habit-forming substance such as a drug or alcohol; addiction. Reliance on the functionality provided by some other, external component.

Colony

Definition: Region or governmental unit created by another country and generally ruled by another country.A group of organisms of same or different species living together in close association.
Example sentence: Since I stayed in a colony where either one was an engineer or a scientist, everybody thought I would be a scientist. This was the expectation everybody had apart from my parents. Honestly, I, too, wanted to be a scientist. I think it was the way Dad would explain us scientific theories and concepts that made the subject more intriguing.
