What is the difference between Cover and Insure?

Cover as a verb is to place something over or upon to conceal or protect. while Insure as a verb is to provide for compensation if some specified risk occurs. often agreed by policy (contract) to offer financial compensation in case of an accident, theft or other undesirable event.
